Therefore, the Saudi Society of Endocrinology & Metabolism recommends getting vaccinated as soon as possible, as it helps prevent infection and reduce the severity of the disease if contracted, God willing<\/p>\n

Individuals with adrenal insufficiency are not at an increased risk of adverse reactions to vaccines. However, if you experience illness after receiving the vaccine, you should double your hydrocortisone dose as you would during severe illness, based on your doctor's advice<\/p>\n

We also advise patients with adrenal insufficiency to monitor their hydrocortisone supply and ensure they have adequate amounts available<\/p>\n

The Saudi Society of Endocrinology & Metabolism advises both type 1 and type 2 diabetes patients, as well as those with adrenal insufficiency, to promptly get the COVID-19 vaccine due to their increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19<\/p>\n
